Orange blossom, honeysuckle, and lily-of-the-valley on the nose persist as midpalate perfume amid vivid expressions of peach and zesty orange. The feel here is quite creamy, and, as with the corresponding “Roter Schiefer” bottling, the sweetness is noticeable but highly supportive of the wine’s fruit-forward personality. The finish preserves ample zest and piquancy to lend stimulating counterpoint to the sweet fruit and manages also to lingeringly reprise the wine’s strikingly floral component.
